Cora M. Davenport, 75, of Fremont died Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at Fremont Area Medical Center.

She was born May 21, 1934, in Walthill to John and Ella (McClanahan) Davenport. She grew up in Walthill. She lived in Sioux City, Iowa, and Omaha before moving to Fremont. She worked as a supervisor in the cable manufacturing department of Western Electric in Omaha, where she retired.

She was a member of Church of the Nazarene in Fremont. Survivors include: her lifetime companion and sweetheart, Jerry Doupnik of Fremont; two sisters, Marie Tompkins of Sioux City, Iowa, and Goldie Backowies of Longmont, Colo.; brother-in-law, Sam Ehrlich of Longmont; and sisters-in-law, Barb Davenport of Fremont and Frieda Davenport of South Sioux City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Leibert, Walter, John, and Donald Davenport; and three sisters, Maxine Davenport, Leona Ehrlich, and Grace Dunn.

Visitation: 4-8 P.M. Wednesday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont and will continue one hour prior to service time Thursday at the church.

Service: 10:30 A.M. Thursday at Church of the Nazarene in Fremont with the Rev. Tom Shaw officiating. 

Inturnment: 1:30 P.M. Thursday in Evergreen Cemetery in Walthill.

Memorials: To the Salvation Army and the American Lung Association.
